Kate Murphy

Kate Murphy is a designer based in Dallas, Texas. With twenty-four years of professional experience, Kate has designed numerous projects including hotels, restaurants, night clubs, retail and high-end residential.

Kate received a Bachelors of Interior Architecture from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago. She began her career in 1999 at The Rockwell Group in New York City, specializing in hotel and casino design. Kate later worked for Kenneth Cole designing retail stores, worldwide showrooms, and the company's corporate headquarters in NYC.

In 2001, KMIA was founded in Dallas and began providing design services to the local restaurant scene. KMIA's clients include Consolidated Restaurant Operations, Romano Group Enterprises, Lincoln Property Company, Front Burner Restaurants and many others. Kate has designed restaurants throughout the United States and internationally.

Kate has been honored for expertise in her field by being awarded the Chicago Building Congress awards for Best Interior Build Out and New Construction under $15 Million. Her projects have been featured in Modern Luxury Magazine, Restaurateur Magazine, D Home and D Magazine.
